Diplomatic Rules of Thumb
To be referred to by the President, Secretary of State, and Secretary of Defense, as needed:
- Don't call people names in secret written correspondence, and then give every infantryman access to that correspondence.
- Don't blow up a hotel full of journalists, then say you didn't do it, then say you did in secret correspondence, and then give every infantryman access to that correspondence.
- Don't spy on people you've agreed not to spy on, then write about it in secret written correspondence, and then give every infantryman access to that correspondence.
- Don't be stoopid.
