I'm sick of stupid politics

I read political/news sites like Truthout, Buzzflash, Alternet, Common Dreams. I read The Progressive every month when it comes. I like to read other things like The Nation and Extra and Z and the Monthly Review sometimes. But I'm getting tired of complaining about things, and I feel like there's nothing I can really do beyond preaching to the choir. Politicians are mostly beyond my reach because I'm not a rich guy. Voting seems less and less real, and more and more like a useless excercise--between our corrupt election system (the chairman of a major candidate's election committee can also be the state election commissioner, or Secretary of State?), and our untrustworthy and increasingly prevalent electronic voting systems...
